JS-Tensioned Cover

The JS-Tensioned Cover is the ideal solution for covering your silo. The cover can be placed on almost every type of silo, for instance steel, concrete and wood. The materials used to construct the cover make perfect for usage on manure storage systems. Diameters of 8,0 till 35,0 meters are possible.

Product Details

The hart of the cover is the centre column. The standard column used is a hard wooden beam. The maximum length of the column is 10,5 meters. The thickness of the column is depending on the length. When needed a stainless steel column can be mounted. The column is placed in a bottom plate on the concrete silo floor to prevent the column of sliding.

The foil used for the actual tensioned cover is a polyester weave, coated on both sides with a layer of PVC. Total weight of the foil is 850 gr/m2. Standard colour of the foil is grey, but green is also possible. Special bands are welded on the foil . These bands are connected to the top dish with stainless steel buckles.

To tension the cover a galvanized steel tube is placed into the girder. Stainless steel ratchets are used to tension the cover properly. To inspect the silo, there are two manholes placed in the cover. Different numbers, sizes and locations of the manholes are possible.

Tensioned Cover

Every cover is tailor made to the silo where it is placed. The cover itself has a reference period of 10 years.

Certification

The JS-tensioned Cover is provided with a KOMO/KIWA certificate under number K21812. The cover fully complies with the Dutch manure silo Construction Guidelines.
